Hi, I am Torgeir. I’m a Clinical Psychologist and offer in-person consultations on the Gold Coast and Telehealth sessions across Australia. I have close to 20 years of experience helping people improve their mental health and overall well-being. Whether you're a young adult or an older adult, I provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for you to explore, develop insight and understanding of yourself to feel better, and live the life you want.

  • Originally from Norway, I have called Australia home for the past two decades. My passion for understanding the human mind and helping others thrive led me to pursue extensive academic training.

For most of my career, I have worked in tertiary settings, providing support to young adults (18+) as they navigate the complexities of identity, relationships, academic pressures, and mental health challenges. I have also worked extensively with adults in different life stages, helping them overcome personal struggles, build resilience, and develop meaningful, fulfilling lives. In addition to my work in universities and clinical settings, I have a private practice where I tailor evidence-based therapies to each individual’s unique needs.

My approach is compassionate, practical, and deeply rooted in scientific research. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process—one that empowers people with the tools to face life’s challenges while fostering self-awareness and personal growth. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, gaining invaluable insights into the vast spectrum of human experience. This has only strengthened my commitment to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive care that respects each person’s unique perspective and values.

Grounded in both compassion and scientific research, my work is practical, collaborative, and designed to empower you with the tools to navigate life’s challenges. Through gaining insight and self-understanding, developing effective coping strategies, and making meaningful changes, you can move toward a more fulfilling life. Having worked with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive care that respects your unique perspective and values.
